I have been visiting the Highlands of Scotland since before I can remember, and photographing them for nearly as long!

The Orkney Archipelago lies north of the Scottish mainland and has been occupied by humans for at least 6000 years.

The western part of North Carolina is mountainous, and is threaded through by the Blue Ridge Parkway.
