This huge county of Scotland stretches from the western outskirts of Dundee to the Angus Glens and the Cairngorms in the north-east and the Rannoch Moor in the north-west. It has a wide variety of landscapes, from rich agricultural straths to high mountains. The highest point of the county is Ben Lawers at 1,214 m (3,983 ft), the 10th highest peak in Scotland.
