The building is located on the Platz der Deutschen Einheit and built between 1894 and 1900 according to plans by the city architect Ludwig Winter in the neo-Gothic style. Braunschweig (English:: Brunswick) is a city in Lower Saxony, Germany, north of the Harz Mountains at the farthest navigable point of the river Oker.
